FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
MONTH TO MONTH CONTRACT MEMBERSHIP TERM
- The month-to-month contract is a monthly membership term to be renewed automatically on a month-to-month basis and to be paid in the amount equal to the original month-to-month membership fee which may be adjusted upward from time to time to reflect any price increases as they may occur.
The month-to-month membership agreement may be cancelled at any time after the initial term by giving 30 day written notice prior to next pay schedule.
PAYMENT TERMS
- Option 1: Monthly Credit Card Auto-billing. Your credit card will be billed each month for your
monthly membership fee. - Option 2: Pre-paid Membership. You can pay by Cash, Check, or Charge for full membership amount up front. Minimum pre-paid 10 months for prepayment discount: Take an additional 5% discount if paid by
credit card or check. Prepayment discount if paid by cash. Take an additional 10% prepayment discount
if paid by cash. This prepayment entitles you to accrue your monthly services as defined below.
RENEWAL OF YEARLY CONTRACT MEMBERSHIP
This month-to-month membership Agreement will renew automatically on a month-to-month basis at the
end of the initial term referred to above, with monthly dues to be paid in the amount as set forth in the
Membership Agreement.
Initiation Fee
- A $35 initiation fee will be charged to each member. The initiation fee cannot be refunded.
- Initiation fee may be applied towards a one-hour massage.
Accrual of services (pre-paid memberships only)
- Monthly service may be used within 18 months after payment is received.
- After 18 months, accused services will be transferred into store credit based on dollar amount.
Cancellations
- Members must cancel in writing or by e-mail at least 30 days prior to next pay schedule.
- Written notice cancel must be sent by first class mail or be hand delivered to the Spa.
- Requests to cancel membership sent via email must be sent to info@massageelitedmv.com and must clearly state each canceling member(s) name in order to avoid confusion.
Transfer of membership
- A member can transfer their membership obligation to another individual willing to enter a new 12 month membership agreement with Massage Elite. As set forth above, a member may also transfer monthly services to another individual for an additional fee of $5 per massage.
- If member has (2) consecutive missed payments, the contract will automatically terminate and the
remaining rollover will be transferred into store credit based on dollar amount.
Guest Pass Redemption
- Members are permitted to a predetermined number of free guest passes per month for friends and family.
- Redemption of a guest pass is available for 30-minutes Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Reflexology therapies for only $15-$20 to the guest.
- Guest passes are valid for one time use only per individual and not available to existing customers or individuals who have redeemed a guest pass from Massage Elite previously.
- Guest pass also includes a 60 minutes massage for $50.
Additional Service Purchases
- Services purchased and provided by Massage Elite in addition to allocated monthly memberships
- service will be eligible for a discount defined and provided at the respective membership level.
- Additional service discounts will apply to any additional services only to the member.
Cancellations
- The Family Package is a package for two members.
Additional individuals up to 5 total can be added to the family package. - The price per individual for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th member is additive to the base Family package.

How far in advance do I need to reserve my chair massage therapist(s)?
Massage Elite can often accommodate bookings on the same day, however, more notice is preferred, especially when more than one therapist is required for your job. For jobs requiring three or more therapists, please allow several days to a week if possible.
How many chair massage therapists should I reserve?
One chair cover two guest, if your party is larger than two guests than you may need more chairs.
What do I need to do to prepare?
You’ll need to choose an area and designate a clear space at least 5’ x 5’ per therapist where people can take turns on the massage chair. You can schedule time slots in advance, or, depending on the kind of event, people can randomly take turns. When scheduling in advance, we recommend doing 15 minute blocks for each 10 minute massage to ensure that we are able to stay on schedule.
Our therapist will bring everything that is required to perform chair massage for the number of people you have estimated for us. You may provide your own ambience such as music and candles if you like, or you may request that we provide this for you. (An additional fee may be incurred based on the extent of your request).
Do therapists need breaks?
This depends on the total amount of time each therapist is working, and how busy they are. Assuming the therapist is working non-stop (one person after another), most can go a few hours without a significant break away from the chair. After two hours or so, assuming there is at least another hour or more to go, a 10 or 15 minute break should be factored in. For shifts lasting more than around 4 hours, we may factor in a 30-60 minute unpaid break. If the therapist has down time between clients, an extended break is generally not necessary
Who are the chair massage therapists you work with?
Our therapists meet all legal requirements within their jurisdiction to perform chair massage and/or massage table acupressure, and possess personal liability insurance. They undergo a rigorous screening process, which includes both an oral and practical interview, in order for us to evaluate their character and skill level. They will show up to your event wearing a black Massage Elite polo shirt and black or khaki pants.
What about tipping?
We include a standard 10% or $20 per therapist gratuity (whichever is greater) per day, regardless of the number of hours. You are welcome to add to this if you wish, either in cash or part of invoice.
Can we do this on a regular schedule, such as weekly or monthly? Do you offer service contracts?
Absolutely. If you wish to use our chair massage services on a regular basis, we may be able to discount your fees more than usual. Another option is an ongoing service agreement. Where there is a high volume, deeper discounts may be possible. Just call to speak with a specialist about your needs. Another great thing about working with Massage Elite is that you can always try another therapist! Some people find one massage therapist they love, and stick with them forever. Others like to try different therapists from time to time. With Massage Elite, you have all the options; we are here to be of service to you
Should I provide parking?
Yes. We travel to you by car and our therapists need a secure place to park that is very close to your location. The equipment is heavy and can be difficult to transport more than a half block or so. Please let us know where the therapist can park nearby, and if there are any parking fees, please keep in mind these will be added to your total. Lastly if there is a gate code or specific gate to use, please inform us when booking.
How far in advance do I need to schedule my appointment?
We can accommodate appointments in as little as one hour, however, whenever possible we prefer as much advance notice as possible. The more time we have to assign your therapist, the more flexibility we have to find the therapist we feel is the best fit for your specific needs..
What kind of massages are performed?
We perform practically every kind of professional massage therapy. The one thing we do not do is “sensual” massage, or any kind of “massage” of a sexual nature. We are here to do everything possible to ensure that you get the massage you want. Please let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to find the right therapist to accommodate your specific needs.
Who are the therapist you work with?
Our therapists are all licensed by the State of Virginia and possess personal liability insurance. They undergo a rigorous screening process, which includes both an oral and practical interview, in order for us to evaluate their character and skill level. We only contract therapists who we would be happy to pay to work on us.
Is your “one-hour” massages really just 50 minute?
No! One hour means one hour! You will receive 60 minutes on the table. If you feel that you have received a minute less, please call the office and let us know.
How do I prepare for my massages? What will the therapist bring?
All you need to do is make sure you have space for the therapist to set up the massage table and be able to work around it (about 6’ to 7’ in length and 4’ in width). Your therapist will bring all the supplies needed, including massage oil and/or lotion (most therapists carry both but if you require one or the other please let us know in advance), sheets and towels. If you would like to make a special request such as music or candles, please inform the appointment coordinator helping you.
Once your therapist has prepared the table for you, he or she will allow you the privacy to disrobe to your comfort level and position yourself on the table underneath a sheet or towel. Our therapists use professional draping techniques, so your privacy will be respected at all times.
I would like to have massages regularly. How can you help me with this?
First, we have package pricing available to lower the cost of massages when purchased in advance. Contact us.
Second, the great thing about working with Us is that you can always try another therapist! Some people find one massage therapist they love, and stick with them forever. Others like to try different therapists from time to time. With Us, you have all the options; we are here to take care of you.
What about tipping?
If you are satisfied with your service, it is customary to offer a gratuity to your massage therapist. Tip as you would at a restaurant – 15% to 20%, or more for exceptional service.
I hate when a therapist talks during a massage. I just want to relax. How do I avoid this?
If you have this concern, or ANY other, please be sure to let your appointment coordinator know and we will pass the instructions on to the therapist. That is what we are here for!
